Cantante della storica band Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Di Giacomo, straordinario artista e paroliere, è stato definito “la grande voce del progressive italiano”.
Il 21 febbraio 2026, nello stesso giorno e a dodici anni esatti dalla sua scomparsa, la band progressive metal italiana Ghost on Mars, rilascia il suo nuovo singolo: un brano cover di Francesco Di Giacomo intitolato ‘Il Senso Giusto’.
Pubblicato e distribuito dall’etichetta statunitense Willowtip Records, i Ghost on Mars, per la prima volta, pubblicano un brano cantato interamente in italiano. La band capitolina ha anche rilasciato una versione in inglese dello stesso brano: The Right Way.
I brani sono disponibili su tutte le migliori piattaforme streaming digitali.
Il brano originale è contenuto nell’album ‘La parte mancante’, pubblicato postumo nel 2019, e registrato anch’esso presso l’NMG Studio di Palestrina.
I Ghost on Mars sono attualmente impegnati nella stesura del nuovo album e nell’organizzazione di una serie di concerti promozionali dell’album ‘Out of Time and Space’ – che ha raccolto un notevole apprezzamento da parte della critica di settore – in Italia e in Europa.

On February 21, 2014, one of the most important voices of the Italian progressive rock scene passed away: Francesco Di Giacomo.
Lead singer of the legendary band Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Di Giacomo—an extraordinary artist and lyricist—was widely regarded as “the great voice of Italian progressive rock.”
On February 21, 2026, exactly twelve years after his passing and on the same date, Italian progressive metal band Ghost on Mars will release their new single: a cover of a Francesco Di Giacomo song titled “Il Senso Giusto.”
Released and distributed by the US label Willowtip Records, this marks the first time Ghost on Mars have released a song sung entirely in Italian. The band has also released an English version of the track, titled “The Right Way.”
Both versions are available on all major digital streaming platforms.
The original song appears on “La parte mancante,” an album released posthumously in 2019 and likewise recorded at NMG Studio in Palestrina.
Ghost on Mars are currently working on the writing of their new album, while also organizing a series of promotional concerts for “Out of Time and Space”—an album that has received highly positive reviews from the specialized press—across Italy and Europe.
